Gambit is a research platform for asking clear questions about financial data, testing them consistently, and keeping a record of what the evidence actually supports.
Start with the data
Keep track of where observations came from and what was knowable at each point in time. Calculated inputs are Features; the outcomes we aim to predict are Targets.
Define the question
Choose where a calculation applies and state the expected relationship before testing. Every trial preserves its specifications and original hypothesis.
Preserve the evidence
Discovery and validation run through versioned application code. Reusable Signals retain results for the particular instruments, periods, and outcomes tested.
Current research stages: P1 discovery and P2 validation. Forecasting, trading-sleeve construction, and portfolio allocation are future stages. Research results are evidence about a specified test, not a guarantee of future performance.
